Loss of more green space in the West End

The Four Acres Trust have submitted plans to build 5 five bedroom townhouses on the site of the Memorial Gardens beside Cottiers on Highburgh Road. The gardens will go along with most of the mature trees on the site.
Can the West End of Glasgow really afford to lose more green space?
We have already lost the garden of the Church at 88 Highburgh Road and now more green space
is likely to go.
Each of these 5 bedroom houses has 1 off-street parking place planned. Will this be enough? I doubt it and can forsee further problems for parking in this area.
If the build goes ahead how long will we have to wait for a road accident as a vehicle turns right out of Hyndland Road into Highburgh Road and is hit by oncoming traffic because of a line of sight problem?
